Make sure the whole code is inside the camera frame and reasonably lit. If the business has just rotated its verification word, ask them to display the current code — Proof Chain rejects codes signed with an expired word.
Visits are written to your device first, so they appear even without a connection. If a visit is missing, check that you completed the scan through to the confirmation screen. Repeated scans at the same business within the rate-limit window are intentionally rejected.
No. Customers are fully anonymous — there is no sign-up, and your visit history stays on your device. Accounts exist only for business owners who manage a business and its analytics.
Confirm your email address is verified — check your inbox for the confirmation link, including the spam folder. If you signed up with Apple or Google, use that same button rather than a password. You can request a fresh password reset link from the sign-in screen at any time.
Open the link on the iPhone or iPad where Proof Chain is installed, and make sure the app is up to date. Tapping the link from a desktop browser will show a confirmation page but cannot hand the session back to the app.
Open the app, go to the subscription screen and tap Restore Purchases. Purchases are tied to the Apple Account that bought them, so use the same one.
Subscriptions are billed by Apple. Manage or cancel them in the Settings app under your name → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the renewal; access continues until the end of the paid period.
